This is lovely! Sea salt?! Lavender?! Lavender is my favorite flower. I had no idea about the necktie being invented in Croatia. No idea about the lavender and sea salt. My great grandmother was from Croatia. I’m trying to find her village so I can visit someday.

Wow! This is such a nice post. I never knew that the ‘Tie’ was invented there, and it was sweet of the lady to have given you that wooden toy (which posed with your globe). The Cuturica resembles the water bottle that is sometimes shown in cartoons in desert/wild west movies.

Well I definitely learned a lot in this post! I had no idea the neck tie came from Croatia or that they have the best salt. Being into essential oils, I find it interesting about Lavender being a big crop for them as well.

These are all really cute, kitsch items to buy. I especially like the wooden flask. I notice that when I travel, I hardly ever like shopping for myself. Sometimes I like to pick up souvenirs for others, but in general I would rather just walk through a market than buy something.

I had no idea that Croatia was a producer of lavender. I visited the lavender fields in France a few years ago and they were beautiful! Hopefully I will get to see the ones in Croatia when I visit. Thanks for posting such an informative post!

Apart from the necktie, everything else is also Serbian! They used to be one country though so I guess it makes sense! The cuturica and its content (Serbian Rakija) made my wedding guests so drunk! I love the Balkans, glad you experienced them as well!
